Lakers Advised To Reunite With Ex-NBA Champion In ‘Sneaky’ Move

The Los Angeles Lakers could use all the help they can get at this point. They lost yet another game in the regular season and fans are worried. According to recent reports, the Lakers could do an effort and sign a former NBA champion.

Is Danny Green a good fit for the Lakers? He made a few stops in the NBA and knows the Lakers really well. Green spent some time with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and also the Lakers. It’s interesting to note that Green helped the Lakers win a title inside the NBA bubble. Will he do the same again?

Lakers could get some help from the former champion

Bleacher Report has a good suggestion for the Lakers. According to their report, a “sneaky” free-agent move could push Danny to the Lakers. He switched teams in the last couple of years and the Lakers could really use him again.

“Danny Green could help fill the Lakers’ shooting void. He’s done that before. The veteran swingman was a rotation regular for the 2019-20 title team, ranking second on that squad with 120 triples.

“His defense has eroded with age—he turned 36 in June—but his three-ball is as fiery as ever (43.2 percent in limited action last season). He also has enough veteran know-how to find his fit on the fly.”

Green could help the Lakers with their shooting. He is a career 40.0% three-point shooter. His experience in the postseason makes him an ideal fit for the purple and gold. Green shoots 38.8% from the arc in the postseason. Let’s not forget that.

Green has to make a decision and many believe that he will actually return to the Sixers. Chris Haynes from Bleacher Report bets on this reunion. He looked like someone who could easily win with the Sixers. Will he change his mind now?

“There’s definitely a sense of unfinished business here,” Green said in September. “I’ve been able to win and lucky enough to win in other cities. I would love to be able to bring that aspect to this city — the city of Philadelphia and finally stay healthy, first and foremost, and play great basketball at the end of the year in April, May, and June — getting us where we need to be.”
