Patriots’ Bailey Zappe Gets Hero Treatment On X Amid Dominance In Win Vs Broncos

Is Bailey Zappe the new franchise quarterback for the New England Patriots? The team has yet to make a decision on the quarterback position, but this scenario sure deserves attention.

Zappe led the Patriots to a win over the Denver Broncos last night. It was a good win for the team, but yes, they are definitely out of playoff contention. However, Zappe’s great performance turned heads and we have people saying that he should take the starting role at quarterback in New England.

Patriots fans liked his performance on the field and definitely appreciated his determination to lead the team to a win.

Zappe helped the Patriots beat Broncos players

The Patriots almost lost the game as it was tied at 23-23 in the fourth quarter. Denver didn’t give up without a fight, but Zappe was there to save the day.

The backup quarterback had 256 passing yards and two touchdowns to go along with zero interceptions on 25/33 completions. Turning him into a starter was a game-changer for the Patriots and Zappe may actually steal Mac Jones’ job in 2024.

Head coach Bill Belichick didn’t remove Jones from his position with the team, but he may take this into consideration heading into the offseason. Jones’ struggles persisted and he didn’t even look like the rookie Belichick had on the field a couple of seasons ago. Jones is an incredibly talented player, but he doesn’t perform well at all. Many believed that Matt Patricia was the issue last season. Why did Jones’ continue struggling with Bill O’Brien as offensive coordinator for the Patriots?

Zappe promised to help the Patriots win games as a starting quarterback. Belichick gave him a chance to go at center and the backup tried to get the best of it. His performance in the win over the Broncos could earn him a better position in New England.

The Patriots will enter a wild offseason and nothing will be the same in 2024. Who will be the first to lose their job?
