Patriots’ Bill Belichick Gets ‘Super Bowl’ Praise From Dan Orlovsky Amid Firing Rumors

The New England Patriots lost their grip early in the 2023 NFL season. They won just three games so far in the season and the situation does not look good at all. Some of the players will have to leave the organization. Some of the coaches will have to leave New England, too. Head coach Bill Belichick found himself on the hot seat and nothing changed in the meantime. Recent reports suggest that the Patriots plan to cut ties with Belichick after the regular season, but Dan Orlovsky wouldn’t jump on that train.

There’s growing speculation that Robert Kraft decided to fire his head coach following the loss in Germany. Analysts claim that Kraft wanted to give Belichick a chance to lead the team a few more seasons and actually get a chance to pass Don Shula. However, the elimination from the playoffs may switch his focus to someone else.

We have fans and analysts claiming that Belichick has lost his sparkle. This goes against the fact that he is the GOAT among all coaches.

Orlovsky couldn’t agree more. He insists that Belichick can lead a NFL team to a title again despite all rumors about his firing.

“I think… he’s a coach that you can win a Super Bowl with still,” Orlovsky told WEEI’s Jones and Mego.

Orlovsky stands by legendary Belichick

Orlovsky is impressed by the way Belichick builds a strong defense that provides great results despite all obstacles players deal with.

“I mean just watch the defense play. I thought the defense was gonna fall off this year after the Gonzalez injury and Matt Judon,” he said. “And they’re still playing at a pretty darn-high level.”

Belichick has a solid defense, but the offense struggles more than ever. He could not find a franchise quarterback following Tom Brady’s departure. Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe, Malik Cunningham… They all failed to secure their future as Patriots quarterbacks.

Will offensive woes put an end to Belichick’s tenure with the Patriots?
