Patriots’ Bill Belichick To Break An NFL Record He Doesn’t Want

The New England Patriots got Bill Belichick two decades ago and hiring him was the miracle they needed. Belichick set up the pillars of the Patriots dynasty. He was able to find the best quarterback for the team. He and Tom Brady became a lethal duo in the NFL, beating pretty much every team on their schedule. Belichick breaks a NFL record each season, but he is about to break one that is not that pleasing.

The Patriots entered the season with a loss and things didn’t really change for the team. They have a 2-10 record at this point of the season and Belichick is in the middle of one of the worst seasons in his career.

The legendary head coach has a good chance to pass Don Shula for most all-time wins. It may not be easy, but Belichick can do that.

Belichick won’t be happy about this NFL record

There’s one major obstacle on his way. NFL Senior Researcher Tony Holzman-Escareno reported that Belichick is on his way to have the lowest win percentage in a season by any head coach with a team that has already won a title. Can you believe that Belichick may have a .167 win percentage this season?

Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Tom Landry holds the record with his 1988 team. His team finished with a 3-13 record back then, earning him a winning percentage of .188.

“Just really didn’t do a good job of field position. Couldn’t play the complementary game that we needed to play,” said Belichick after yesterday’s loss. “Just got to do a better job – we’ve talked about it all year, making plays in critical situations that we need to make. That’s really about it.”

The Patriots lost five straight games. Belichick knows that everyone has to improve and perform at a higher level. Players need to do a better job.

Let’s see what happens in the offseason. Belichick is on the hot season again, but we don’t really believe that Robert Kraft will let him go.
