Anthony Davis Issues Stern Lakers Challenge Ahead Of Big Home Stretch

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a 132-125 loss to the Utah Jazz and fans are disappointed. Players are disappointed, too. The same goes to Anthony Davis. He could have delivered a better performance in the loss vs Utah and took responsibility for the loss. It was a tough game and LeBron James didn’t even play in the game. Everyone had to elevate their performance and D’Angelo Russell replaced four-time NBA champion LeBron James. Davis and his Lakers teammates gear up for the big challenge.

Davis scored 15 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, four blocks and six turnovers in the loss. The big man is not too happy with the outcome of the game and he sure knows that his team can win more games. The Lakers lost many games and these losses should motivate players to try harder in the next stretch of home games. Davis showed great confidence about this challenge and knows that his teammates are winners.

“We’re not in a bad spot. It could be worse,” Davis said of the status of the Lakers. “We still have enough to win basketball games. But we just got to keep going — 40 games, 42 left. We got to make a push. These next five or six games at home are going to be a big stretch of games for us.”

D’Angelo Russell replaced LeBron on the floor and scored 39 points. Austin Reaves scored 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Rui Hachimura delivered 17 and Christian Wood scored 15.

The Lakers have won just three of the last 10 games. They made the Western Conference Finals last season and they better get out of the vicious circle and start winning games to get back on the right track.

Staying healthy is of utmost importance for the purple and gold. Let’s see what happens next in LA. Players need to win their home games to improve their current record.
