Lakers’ Anthony Davis Describes Pain of Concerning Shoulder Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers celebrated a great win over the Milwaukee Bucks. They played elite basketball to the very end of the game. It was a well-earned 123-122 win and LeBron James didn’t even play in it. Unfortunately, he may not be the only star to sit out the next few games. Anthony Davis suffered a terrible shoulder injury and “pain” was written all over his face.

AD sustained an injury during a collision with Bucks star Antetokounmpo. It was bad, but Davis finished the game after being examined by the team physician. He didn’t shoot the ball quite often though and did just two free throws. It hurt whenever he tried to use his left arm.

“I couldn’t really move [my shoulder] after that but [I’ll] get some treatment and see how I feel tomorrow,” Davis told the media while holding ice on his injured shoulder.

The Greek Freak landed on his shoulder on a drive to the basket early in the fourth quarter.

Davis could be dealing with a serious shoulder injury

Top experts have provided their opinion on Davis’ injury. Dr. Evan Jeffries, owner of Evolving Motion Physical Therapy, expressed concerns about Davis’ inability to use his left arm. Was it an AC joint contusion or a nerve injury?

Doctors will evaluate the Lakers big man again before the team provides a detailed update on his shoulder injury. We cannot really tell whether he will miss time.

Playing without Davis and LeBron could destroy Darvin Ham’s hopes to lead the team to the playoffs this season. This could put his position in danger and experts are already worried about his future with the team. There is a growing tension between Ham and Lakers players, including LeBron. Some of them are not happy with his in-game adjustments.

Let’s see how this unfolds. The Lakers have a lot going on right now. We will be waiting for an official update from the franchise before discussing the topic any further.
