LeBron James’ Status For Lakers’ Match Vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks In Doubt

The Los Angeles Lakers may be without LeBron James in the game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Again. The four-time NBA champion deals with a left ankle injury and the Lakers listed him as doubtful for the game against Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team. If LeBron sits out the game, it will be his third straight match against the Bucks.

LeBron was a dominant power against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. He scored 36 points and 10 assists in 38 minutes on the floor. The Lakers celebrated a great win and player joined forces to score 150 points. Indiana didn’t give up without a fight though.

LeBron practiced longer than usual ahead of the game. He was really tired after the win and we have a few good reasons to believe that he will miss out the upcoming game.

When it comes to his status this season, LeBron has missed a total of nine games due to left ankle peroneal tendinopathy.

LeBron to sit out the game vs Bucks

It’s interesting to note that the Lakers managed to beat the Bucks without LeBron on March 8. D’Angelo Russell was a star of the show, delivering 44 points. He missed the game against the Pacers, but his name was not on the injury report for the match against Milwaukee.

LeBron’s ankle issue won’t go away overnight and he needs to rest to let it heal.

The Lakers enter a six-game road trip and it won’t be easy.

“It’s a very testy road trip for us,” said LeBron after the Pacers win. “Very rare. I can’t remember where I’ve had such a late East Coast road trip, or vice versa … So that’s challenging. But we look forward to it.”

The Lakers sit behind the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks and have the ninth seed in the Western Conference. Well, LeBron claims that he and his teammates are not really worried about their seeding right now.

“We try to look at figure out how far we are behind the sixth seed, but you stretch yourself out, put too much pressure on yourself when you’re constantly looking at it,” Anthony Davis said Sunday. “I think we’re ninth right now, so we just gotta continue to play our style of basketball and focus on us. It’s the road. Gonna be tough. We got the capability of winning each game.”
