LeBron James Sends Bold Message On Lakers Playoff Run

The Los Angeles Lakers looked good early in the season and didn’t even make any adjustments at the trade deadline. The Lakers front office watched head coach Darvin Ham finish the season with the same squad. Lakers players deal with injuries and some of them are missing time, but the situation seems to be under control right now. LeBron James discussed the Lakers playoff plans and made a shocking comment.

The four-time NBA champion isn’t too worried about the Lakers seeding. The Lakers rank behind the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks, but have a 1.5-game lead over the Golden State Warriors. LeBron claims his team doesn’t even think on seeding, adding that players are more focused on things they can control. The Lakes cannot affect the way other teams play and adding more wins to their chart is a priority right now.

“At the end of the day, we’re not really focused on seeding,” LeBron said, per the Los Angeles Times’ Dan Woike. “We’re just focused on what we can control. We can’t control the seedings if other teams are playing too well still. What you can control is go out and play and try to win as many games as you can and see where you land.”

LeBron and his Lakers teammates are ready for a long playoff race

If the Lakers end up ninth in the West, they will have to beat Stephen Curry and his Warriors teammates in the first round of the Play-In Tournament, just like last year. LA ended up seventh in 2023.

The Lakers have a 26-12 record in home games and 12-20 record in road games. Things will only get tougher for the franchise. Beating their opponents and making the Western Conference Finals won’t be easy, but LeBron is confident about their game.

The Lakers will try their best to make the top again. Fans can only make guesses at this point. There’s still a lot of work to be done.
