Bill Belichcik Addresses About Patriots’ Acquisition Of Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon is on his way to New England, but head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t too loud about it. The Pats head coach isn’t always quiet like this, especially when it comes to adding specific team personnel.

However, Belichick didn’t make any comments on the move during his appearance on WEEI’s “Ordway, Merloni and Fauria.” Maybe he’s waiting for the right moment to share more info on Gordon and his role in the team.

“Yeah well at this point I can’t comment on anything until whatever we do is official. I just can’t make any comments on that right now,” Belichick said.

When asked about the statements by both the Patriots and Browns regarding the trade, Belichick gave a nice explanation.

“Yeah and there are conditions that go with that, so until everything gets set — it’s a work in progress, so we’re not there yet. There’s a certain process that an acquisition goes through and we’re in that normal process. We’re not there yet and until anything is completed, I will refrain from commenting on it. “Again, until it’s on the wire and until the transaction is completed, it’s not completed. Now, there’s a process that doesn’t just happen in 20 seconds. It’s a process that is normal for trades that you go through and that’s part of what we are going through,” Belichick said.

NFL Network Mike Giardi said that Belichick has a good reason to be this quiet. “Per source, Josh Gordon still has to take his physical for the #Patriots which no doubt explains Bill Belichick’s reticence/refusal to speak on the matter,” he wrote on Twitter.

Gordon said he suffered an injury during a photo shoot, and even underwent an MRI. The results are clean.
Belichick said that the team would never bring a player that’s unable to help the Pats. So, there you go. He said it all.
