Trey Flowers Destroys Dion Lewis’ After Anti-Patriots Comments

Dion Lewis used Sunday’s game between the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans to spill his venom, and express his opinion regarding the fact that the Patriots released him. Yes, Lewis was still angry at the team for releasing him, but Trey Flowers had the perfect response for him.

This was the first time that Lewis squared off against the Patriots since his departure this offseason. The Patriots did not try really hard to sign him back, and that’s what made him this angry. Well, the Patriots actually helped him sign a nice deal with the Titans. Trey Flowers shares the same opinion.

But, according to Lewis, it is all personal. “Hell yeah it’s personal. That’s what happens when you go cheap. You get your ass kicked. I didn’t have to prove anything. I know I can play. I just had to let our team know that these guys are beatable. … I know those guys. I know that you be physical with them and let ’em have it and they’ll fold,” Lewis said.

Flowers decided to talk, and we bet that Lewis will not like that at all. “Just cuz he was in the locker room with us, you can’t expect him to be respectful. He felt the need to say it, so that’s what he said. It’s no surprise. He’s a highly competitive person. He plays hard, he plays well. Whatever he said, I guess that’s how he felt,” Flowers told Karen Guregian of The Boston Herald.

“We’re very tough. Not only physically, but mentally. I think that’s the strength of the team. Maybe that didn’t show Sunday as far as how physical we should have been, but I think there’s a lot of guys in here that are very tough, and are able to go out there and produce,” he said of the team.
