NBA Insider Makes Bold Prediction About LeBron James’ Trade

In the past few weeks, Los Angeles Lakers rumors have been running rampant. The debate over LeBron James‘ potential exit from the team is not over.

Sport Media pushes the narrative that the Lakers should trade LeBron James. The first who posited the idea of trading James was ESPN’s Jeff Van Gundy.

“I think in the offseason, they need to rebuild this roster, right? And to me, it could be a trade for an Anthony Davis, or I think they need to explore trading LeBron for getting as much as they can,” Gundy noted.

ESPN’s analysts and former NBA players Jalen Rose and Jon Barry also dropped the idea of the Lakers ending James’ tenure.

But Stephen A. Smith doesn’t think that way. Appearing on ESPN’s Get Up the NBA analyst made it clear that is not going to won’t happen. He does not believe LeBron James will ask for a trade,

“Jalen Rose said the same thing myself and even Max Kellerman said. [Rose said] ‘He should ask for a trade,'” Smith said. “In other words, we don’t know. We don’t believe that’s what LeBron James will do. Matter of fact, I’m told it’s not what he will do.

“I’m certainly told…the Lakers will not trade him either, even though there’s been people in Hollywood, not basketball people, but people in Hollywood in Jeanie Buss’ ear telling her, ‘Get rid of him. Trade him. Just rebuild because ya’ll ain’t going anywhere anyway.’ But again, he doesn’t have a no-trade clause, so you could conceivably move him. That’s not something they’re going to do. It’s not something he’s thinking about doing.”

Any rumors of LeBron wanting a trade were always a little silly. LeBron himself went on Instagram and dismissed the talks that he had lost trust in the Lakers organization last month, calling them “not true at all.”

Now it is finally clear that King James will not be traded. The ones who suggests otherwise are obviously doing that in order to gain some media attention.
