Damian Lillard Says LeBron James Is The Best Player In The League

We can easily say that LeBron James is the best player in the league. We can easily prove it. The Lakers star says he is the GOAT, and fans agree on that one. Media members still have problem accepting this, and some of them say Kawhi Leonard is better than LeBron. Of course, the whole thing started when LeBron got hurt and the Lakers missed the playoffs. But, Damian Lillard has something else to say. According to him, LeBron is the best basketball player.

The Portland Trail Blazers guard says LeBron is on the top.

“That’s like a numbers thing,” he said. “It’s hard to do, so having that type of energy, being in that type of shape to get 10 rebounds, to get 10 assists and to score 10 points… that don’t make you the best player, just because you can do stuff like that that other people can’t do. That’s like athleticism and heart. That don’t make you the best player though.”

When asked about the best player in the league, he said, “I think LeBron is.”

That doesn’t mean that he is positive about his team and their game this season.

“It’s going to be a battle. The way I see it, you’re going to have the Golden State’s, the Rockets. We were the third best team in the West and every other team behind us, they brought their guys back. So they’re going to be one more year experienced together, probably going to be a little bit better. Teams like Denver, Utah and Minnesota, all those teams are going to be improved. So, us, we can’t look at free agency and who we didn’t get and (say) we didn’t make this trade and all that stuff. Once the season starts, we’ve got to go. And we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do … we’ve just got to find a way to make it happen.”

There were rumors regarding Lillard and his potential contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he denied any of the rumors, because of one simple reason. He likes the team and the coaching staff.
