Report: Antonio Brown Is Making The Trip To Miami With His New Teammates

The New England Patriots are playing the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and Antonio Brown made the trip to Miami as confirmed by NFL Media’s Mike Giardi. Brown was planned to travel with the team, and he is also expected to play against Miami.

Patriots players will let head coach Bill Belichick make the decision regarding Brown and his future with the team.

“Coach is going to do what is best for the team, what he feels is best for the team,” Julian Edelman said. “Adding Antonio, he feels that’s best for our team. Quite frankly, he’s a a really good football player. He works his tail off. He practiced this week. I think with a player like him, a player of his caliber, he’s going to raise the bar and raise the intensity of practice because he’s so good for other guys to see. He’s a really good football player and I look forward to playing with him.

“It’s not the first time we’ve added someone after the first week,” Edelman explained. “It’s not the last time we’ll do it, either. We have a really phenomenal football player that can come in and can help our football team be better.”

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady connected with his new player, but he knows that Brown will have to learn so many things about the team.

“Just like a lot of new players, trying to get up to speed and so forth,” Brady said. “There’s a lot to learn. Coming into this time of year, I’d say is challenging. But that’s just the situation. It happens a lot throughout the NFL. Different players change teams and so forth. That’s happened over the years, so just trying to do the best we can do.”

Brown faces sexual assault and rape accusations. His accuser, Britney Taylor, is expected to meet with the NFL next week. The wide receiver will also meet the league. The NFL didn’t place Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list because there’s no criminal investigation into his case. The Patriots will probably keep him on the field in Miami. When it comes to other players, Brandon Bolden is ruled out, and Marcus Cannon won’t play either.
