Tom Brady Set To Pass Peyton Manning On NFL All-Time Passing Yards List

Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are the only players in the NFL history to throw more yards than quarterback Tom Brady. Well, this may change on Thursday night.

Entering Thursday’s game against the New York Giants, the Patriots quarterback has 71,923 yards in his career, which put him at No. 2 on the league’s all-time passing list. There’s almost zero chance to see Brady pass Brees’ career total during the game, he can definitely pass Manning on the list with one throw against the New York Giants. Manning finished his professional carer with 71,940 yards, and Brady needs to throw for 18 yards on Thursday night to move pass him and take the No. 2 spot on the all-time list.

TB12 spent two seasons at No. 4, and he ranked at this position after passing Dan Marino during the Patriots’ 2016 regular season finale. He held up this ranking for the next two seasons, and now he is on the move again. Brady passed Brett Favre last week in the game against the Washington Redskins.

To pass Brees, TB12 will have to throw for 2,922 yards against New York. The Giants’ defense is too weak this season, but Brady can’t do that much in one game. Well, Brady will sure cut into Brees’ lead.

If the Saints quarterback doesn’t return until Week 10, Brady will have four weeks to get close to him on the all-time list. If Brady can average at least 300 yards per game while Brees recovers, TB12 can move about 1,200 yards closer to the all-time record. We wouldn’t be worried even if Brady doesn’t pass Brees, because he has so many records.

“Brady currently holds multiple records, including: Most playoff wins, most playoff passing yards, most touchdown passes to different receivers and most Super Bowl wins, just to name a few.”

The Patriots quarterback is the greatest football player of all times, and he will definitely hit a few milestones this season. But, we do hope that the Patriots will win the Super Bowl this season. It will be a big season for every team in the NFL.
