Tom Brady Sounds Like He’s Pulling For Kaepernick In Comeback Attempt

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is ready to welcome Colin Kaepernick back in the NFL. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback caused a situation in the football world over the weekend. He had his public workout for NFL teams and media members in Atlanta. The NFL organized the event for the quarterback and Kaepernick was supposed to work out in the Atlanta Falcons’ facility. Well, the whole thing fell apart, and Kaepernick decided to change the location of his workout because he wasn’t happy with the way the league treated his request.

Kaepernick showed his skills in front of a handful of teams at a local school. The New England Patriots didn’t have a representative at his workout.

A chance for comeback

The quarterback threw the ball really well, but it looks like he didn’t cause a reaction among other teams. Will the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback find a spot in the league? I don’t think so. However, the Patriots quarterback supports Kaepernick’s efforts to return to the NFL. Kaepernick hasn’t played a game since 2016.

During his weekly appearance on WEEI, Brady said it was good that Kaepernick got a chance to show his skills. Brady really hopes that Kaepernick will make the most of this. Playing in the NFL is a great privilege and players love the game. Brady knows it best. He really loves the game, and will keep playing for a few more seasons. Hopefully. He really likes Kaepernick, and even got to know him a bit. Kaepernick hopes to play again.

“I said the other day, it’s just great that he got an opportunity,” Brady said Monday morning on WEEI. “Hopefully, he makes the most of it. It’s like everyone in the NFL: It’s a great privilege to play and do something you love to do. I’ve felt that way for a long time. Hopefully, he gets an opportunity. I think that’s kind of how I feel. I got to know Colin a little bit, and obviously he’s hoping he can play.”

Brady has already supported Kaepernick’s comeback

Brady’s support for Kaepernick doesn’t come as a surprise. The quarterback has shown his support in the past. In 2017, Brady said he hoped Kaepernick would catch on somewhere, adding that he is qualified to play in the league.

If a NFL team decides to offer Kaepernick a deal, they will have to accept the controversy that follows the quarterback. Kaepernick took a knee during the national anthem to protest social injustice, and he was removed from the NFL. Well, Brady is convinced that Kaepernick has enough talent to earn himself a spot on a roster. Will that really happen?
