Doc Rivers States LeBron James Could Have Been ‘Greatest Football Player Ever’

Most NBA fans would agree that LeBron James is the greatest of all times. He is the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. But, do you know that the great LeBron could easily become the greatest football player of all time? That’s what Doc Rivers said.

During his appearance on the “Go Off with Austin Rivers” podcast, the Los Angeles Clippers head coach said that the 16-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA champion could’ve been the greatest NFL player, too.

LeBron was a dual-sport athlete in school. He played both football and basketball. The Laker had a great success as a wide receiver. D-I schools wanted him, and he sure go the attention of Notre Dame.

“I don’t know if there’s ever been an athlete in our league like LeBron James,” Rivers said. “I really believe if LeBron James had to play football, he may have been the greatest football player ever.”

LeBron was a great football player

The 6-foot-9, 250-pound LeBron was a talented wide receiver during two seasons of high school football. Notre Dame wanted him, but he ultimately chose basketball. LeBron went straight to the NBA, and was the top pick in the 2003 Draft.

John Tortorella once talked about LeBron’s chances in the hockey world. In 2017, he talked on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland and said that LeBron wouldn’t be able to skate.

“He can’t skate,” he said. “He’s too [darn] big. He can’t skate. I challenge him. “Tell him to get his [butt] out here and come on the ice and skate with us. I want to see him skate.”

LeBron would have been successful in any other sport. He is determined to win and his dedication to the sports makes him a great athlete. LeBron has excellent photographic memory and his IQ has impressed a lot of athletes.

He is a basketball player now, and many say that he is better than Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. LeBron doesn’t mind any of that, and he is just trying to get the season going. He has a title to win, remember? This is his 17th NBA season, and he is on a good way to play a few more years.
