Rodney Harrison Projects Mindest Of Tom Brady-less Patriots In 2020

What does Rodney Harrison say about the New England Patriots and the upcoming 2020 season? The former Patriots safety wouldn’t be surprised if coach Bill Belichick and the team use Tom Brady’s departure as a motivation to win more games in the upcoming season.

Harrison doesn’t believe that this is something coach B “needs” to do. This will be the Patriots’ first season without TB12 since 1999. Second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham will take the leading position in September. Stidham hasn’t made an NFL start and this will be a rather big challenge for him. The Patriots’ quarterback depth chart is one of the worst in the NFL.

“(Belichick) might bring up a couple articles … everybody saying it’s over, Brady this, Brady that,” Harrison told the Boston Herald’s Karen Guregian. “Of course he’ll say something about that. But at the end of the day, whether he makes the point or not, he knows the team will be motivated to prove they can win without Tom. It’s not just talk, not with the Patriots. It’s a chip you carry in the weight room, you carry in the film room, in the dining room, you carry at home watching extra film, it’s a chip that motivates you. This is motivating for people to say you can’t win without Brady. I know I would be pissed. … So these guys are going to be motivated, pumped up and ready to go.”’

Belichick once said that he is satisfied with the players he has on the roster. Brian Hoyer is also around, and he will help Stidham overcome some of the obstacles. He also signed two undrafted quarterbacks following the 2020 NFL Draft.

This will be an interesting season for every NFL team, and the Patriots will be more than excited to move on with all the players they have. Bill Belichick has a great winning formula, and he won’t go anywhere without a win. He has helped the team win Super Bowls, and he will do the same again. Let’s see what happens in September. Stidham is talented so impossible is nothing.
