Bill Belichick Loves Cam Newton ‘Me Against the World’ Mantra

Head coach Bill Belichick and his New England Patriots are about to enter a new chapter and Cam Newton will be part of it. Of course, we have no idea about his future role with the team. One thing stands for sure. Newton will be part of the Patriots team and he is more than motivated to win a title.

Newton’s approach “me against the world” has been more than impressive. How will it click with Belichick’s “Patriot Way”? The Patriots are known for their excellence and uniformity. Belichick and his organization have signed a few players who don’t really match the Patriot Way. But, these superstars had great success on the field. Belichick knows how to pull out the right move at the right time.

Bill Belichick likes Cam Newton

At least one analyst agrees that Newton’s “Me Against the World” approach is actually the Patriot Way. Would you agree on this one?

In an episode of First Things First, Nick Wright said that Newton and Belichick will actually mesh well.

“… Cam is aware things are done differently in New England and he opted for it,” Wright said Thursday on FOX Sports 1. “In order to believe Cam thinks New England’s not going to be doing things differently than Carolina, he would have to have a total lack of awareness around the NFL. … I do think out there there’s always been this unfair narrative that Cam isn’t a worker. Have you seen how the guy looks? His level of success in this league, he obviously works. The two smart people, Bill Belichick and Cam Newton, came together and they said, ‘We want to work together.’ I just think it’s going to take a shocking scenario for it not to work out.”

Wright made some really good points. He said that coach Belichick has used a player being disrespected as a motivation.

Belichick wanted Newton and he has great plans for him. Newton sustained a few injuries in the past few years but he feels great now. He is about to win a title with Belichick and his teammates. It’s a big season for him and his teammates.
