Watch: Devin Booker Pays Incredible Tribute to Kobe Bryant

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker paid tribute to Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his message was full of love and emotions. Booker has been a dominant force inside the NBA bubble and he has helped his team win four straight games. In one of these games, Booker’s defeated Kawhi Leonard’s Clippers. Booker sealed the win with a game-winning shot.

This shot made people think of Kobe Bryant and his buzzer-beaters. The guard talked to media members about his connection to Bryant. According to the talented player, the connection he had to the Black Mamba is stronger than ever.

“It comes, in 24 hours, at least two, three times a day it crosses my mind,” Booker said. “If not more.”

The Black Mamba was a big name in the basketball world. A lot of young players followed his footsteps. Kobe was the idol of many players. He was an excellent teacher.

Devin Booker respected Kobe Bryant

Booker had a nice story to tell, and it’s focused on the impact Kobe had on the guard. He had a personal connection to Bryant, and he spoke about it right after the tragedy.

“It’s been a lot of what I do, man, mentality wise, approach wise everything, before I even knew him personally, he had shaped my life,” he said in January. “My basketball career. My approach to everything.”

Booker said one of the ultimate achievements of his life was earning the Black Mamba’s respect.

“The biggest thing for me was earning his respect,” Booker said. “To even be the guy in the room after we play them that he wanted to talk to or share advice with. Then our relationship had grown from there. Just figuring out what type of person he was outside of the Mamba mentality. How he raised his daughters and how much of a family man he was something that was just incredible.”

“Kobe’s with me every day. You guys see what I put on my shoes with the ‘Be Legendary.’ It’s a reminder.”

A lot of players feel the same way about Bryant. He was a big figure in the NBA and people loved him. Kobe is gone now, but he will always be remembered as a legendary player.
