WR Quincy Adeboyejo Reacts To Release From New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have released Quincy Adeboyejo and he has now reacted to it. The Patriots have been doing their best in order to get back to the Playoffs in 2020. This has been a big off season for the boys in blue. Most of the eyes are laying at the quarterback position, who is now in the hands of Cam Newton.

Apparently, one way the team thought they could help their cause was to release another player.

New England has now released wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo, who did have a long way to go before actually making the team.

Quincy Adeboyejo played for Ole Miss in college and was signed in 2017 by the Ravens. However, he has only played in one game. He tweeted that he “got fired on my day off.”

This isn’t a big release but it does show just how hard it is to make a team in the NFL.

Cam Newton will have step up if the Patriots are going to make the Playoffs this year. Newton has all eyes on him going into the season.

Head coach Bill Belichick has had some good things to say about Newton so far.

“Cam’s a hardworking kid. He really is,” Belichick said.

No one questions his work ethic, that much is known.

“He’s worked very hard, I’d say, as all of our players have,” Belichick said. “I’d say that certainly for all the quarterbacks, at that position, those guys have been locked in, focused and confident in what they’re able to do and the information they have to give to the team — playcalling, adjustments, audibles, protection adjustments, things like that. That’s all going pretty well.”

But the coach isn’t the only one he is impressing.

“He’s a big guy, that’s for sure — just his physical presence,” running back Rex Burkhead said. “He’s always been a great player, just [with] his versatility — his ability to run the ball and pass as well. We have been able to do that at a high level for many years.

“He’s come in right away, head down, and tried to pick it up as quick as possible. … His first impact has been great. He’s just trying to learn as much as he can and mesh and jell with the rest of the guys.”

Wide out Damiere Byrd also had a few things to say about Newton.

“I just think he’s moving forward,” Byrd said. “He’s trying to learn the offense, just like everybody else is, trying to learn the routines and what’s going [on] in this climate now.”
