Florida Prosecutors Came Up With Official Decision On Robert Kraft’s Case

Florida prosecutors have filed court papers saying that they plan on getting rid of the sex solicitation charges against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. This came after it was announced that they would not be allowed to show video surveillance footage of the deed.

This was an expected move from prosecutors as they did not really have anything to go on. Kraft was hoping for this outcome and he finally got it. Hopefully this means they can all move on from this now. It would be nice to be able to focus on football.

Prosecutors did say on Monday that they would look to get rid of a state appeals court decision last month. This decision made the video surveillance inadmissible which basically cost them the charges.

These videos were strongest piece of evidence that they had in the case and they were thrown out. Robert Kraft had pleaded guilty from the start and never admitted to any wrongdoing.

“Although there was probable cause to make an arrest, the evidence cannot prove all legally required elements of the crime alleged and is insufficient to support a criminal prosecution,” court filings by the prosecutors said.

The Patriots can now focus on trying to win week 3. They are coming off a tough loss against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday.

Cam Newton talked about it after the game. It is safe to say that he is not happy about it.

“We play this game for one stat and one stat only and we didn’t get that stat today – a win,” Newton said. “This is a disgusting taste in my mouth.”

Newton played pretty well. The Patriots are definitely looking much better than most expected. This was going to be a rebuilding year regardless. So to see them fight like they have should be a good sign from the future. Newton is already looking at a longer term deal with the Patriots.

This decision should be great for the Patriots going forward.
