Frank Vogel Gives Huge Update on Return of Rajon Rondo for Round 2

The Los Angeles Lakers finished their seeding games without Avery Bradley. The talented player decided to opt out of the regular season. This wasn’t the only obstacle LA had heading to Orlando. The team lost another valuable veteran, and everyone is looking forward to his return. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel talked about the return of veteran guard Rajon Rondo.

Will he join the team in Game 1 of the second round?

Vogel and his team are looking to have the veteran available for Friday’s game.

Rondo fractured his thumb in mid-July and has spent a lot of time at the LA sidelines. The veteran could return for the beginning of the playoff run, but he has yet to play a game. Rondo was dealing with back spasms and had to recover from his issue.

LA fans are looking forward to the return of Rajon Rondo

The veteran marked a notable decline in his production this season. However, analysts consider him a valuable asset. Rondo has enough playoff experience and that’s what makes him important for the postseason.

Rondo and LeBron are the only point guards and floor generals the Lakers have at the moment. When King James is resting, the LA offense struggles on the floor.

The veteran guard has had a good performance with the Boston Celtics early in his career. He won a NBA championship and could easily win another title two years later. LA needs his talent and leadership skills on the floor. Hopefully, the veteran will return to the game and take some of the load off LeBron’s back.

The Lakers will play their next round against the Oklahoma City Thunder or Houston Rockets. Both teams will meet tonight, and the winner will challenge Vogel’s team. It will be nice to watch LeBron take on the Rockets. But, Oklahoma City has given LA a big headache, too.

Anthony Davis is a major contributor to the game, and the Lakers need him healthy and strong in the second round of the playoff series.
