Lamar Miller Reveals The Difference He’s Noticed With The Patriots

Lamar Miller talked about what he has seen with the New England Patriots. The Patriots have been trying to pick up as many free agents as possible before the 2020 season. The 2019 season was quite disappointing and failed to excite anyone. They want to get back on track. A few weeks back, the Patriots got yet another free agent. They signed former Miami Dolphin and Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller.

Miller did not play in the 2019 season due to an injury he suffered in the preseason. This was the first and only big injury of his career. Before the injury, Lamar played in all but 7 games in 7 whole seasons. He even started in all but 4 games in the 7 years he’s been in the league. During the time he has been in the NFL, he has averaged more than 900 yards.

With Miller joining, it means the Patriots have Sony Michel, James White, and Rex Burkhead returning. It is starting to look a bit crowded. It is still possible that he breaks through and gets into the lineup, however.

Now, Lamar has come out and talked about the different things he has noticed during his time with the Patriots. There are some pretty glowing differences.

Lamar Miller: I’d say the conditioning part. Since I’ve been in the league, I’ve never ran that much. It was just different for me. They make sure you’re in top, great shape. That’s something I haven’t experienced.

Lamar went into more detail about this, Coach Bill Belichick definitely expects the best of his players.

“I just felt like it was a great organization,” Miller said. “I’ve been playing them every year since I’ve been with the other teams I played at. I just know they’re a winning organization. Bill O’Brien, he came from the Patriots so the offense was pretty much similar. I just felt like coming in late in training camp would carry over to just coming here. It’s a winning organization, so that’s why I came here.”

“You just knew when you played the Patriots, you always have to come with your ‘A game,’” Miller said. “We knew what type of team that you’re facing. You know what type of coach that you’re facing. So just knowing that coming into Patriots week, whether it’s home or away, they’re always bringing their A game. Now just being here, seeing how they run things, you can tell how they run things and why you always had to be prepared.”
