Magic Johnson Gives A 1-Word Reaction To The Game 5 Loss

Magic Johnson had a very short reaction to Game 5. The Los Angeles Lakers failed to beat the Miami Heat in Game 5 last night. They will now be going into game 6 with some concern. The Lakers definitely looked like the best team in the NBA for most of the Playoffs. They have only lost a couple of games total. Unfortunately, the title is not theirs yet.

The Miami Heat very much surprised the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of the match up on Friday night. They have now forced a game 6 and possible a game 7. The Miami Heat were carried by Jimmy Butler, who had a 30-point triple-double in the game. LeBron James and Anthony Davis had huge games for Los Angeles, but it just wasn’t enough. The Lakers did have a few chances to win at the end. Unfortunately, Danny Green missed a wide-open 3-pointer and Markieff Morris had a turn over after an offensive rebound.

The Heat outlasted the Lakers, 111-108, to keep the series alive.

Magic Johnson Gives A 1-Word Reaction To The Game 5 Loss

Most NBA fans were not expecting this series to go far. The Lakers won the first two games and many thought that it would be a sweep. Now, the Heat have one 2 out of 3 and are looking very confident. This is not what the Lakers wanted.

This was Lakers great Magic Johnson and his one-word reaction to his team’s Game 5 loss.

It seems like the motivation the Lakers should have would be enough. But apparently, that is not the case. LeBron talked about the death of Kobe and what it meant for him and the organization.

“Of course, you think there’s going to be time for us to get together and I understand that there are regrets in life, but I definitely wish I had that moment with him,” James told Yahoo Sports. “I do remember when I decided to come here, he sent me a text right away and said, ‘Welcome, brother. Welcome to the family.’ That was a special moment because at the time, Laker faithful wasn’t [fully in on me]. A lot of people were saying, ‘Well, we might not want LeBron at this point in his career,’ and, ‘Is he right? Is he going to get us back [to the Finals]?’ So to hear from him and get his stamp of approval, it meant a lot. I don’t ever question myself, but when it’s coming from Kobe, it definitely meant a lot.”
