Kevin Durant Addresses Lakers Rumored Trade for Chris Paul

Kevin Durant has addressed the Lakers rumored trade for Chris Paul. The Los Angeles are NBA champions this season. They looked very impressive throughout the year. This season was very different than seasons in the past, though. With the COVID situation, the NBA season had to be postponed for several months in the middle of the season.

But the Lakers bounced back from this and looked great in the bubble and in the restart. But they did struggle with having to stay in the bubble for so long. Take a look at what LeBron said about this recently.

“I am here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship,” James said. “That was my mindset once I entered the bubble, once I entered the quarantine process the first two days. And then right from my first practice my mindset was to, if I’m going to be here, make the most of it and see what you can do and lock in on what the main thing is. And the main thing was for us to finish the season and compete for a championship.

“So that’s just been my mindset throughout these — I don’t even know how many days it is, whatever how many days it is, it feels like five years so it really doesn’t matter. I’ve been as locked in as I’ve ever been in my career.”

The Lakers are far from done though. They are already working on what they can to strengthen the team going into next season. It looks like they might be looking at Chris Paul as a possible addition. Take a look.

“Los Angeles is where he resides full time and that has created some modicum of leverage in the ongoing negotiations between the sides,” Knicks Film School’s Jonathan Macri wrote in his newsletter. “I’m also told that there is a deal on the table that is comfortable from Sam Presti’s perspective, and the ball is in Leon Rose’s court.”

This would be an interesting move. KD had an opinion on this.
