LeBron James Reacts to 71-Day Shortest Offseason Ever

The NBPA Board of Representatives has voted to approve the early start of the 2020-21 NBA season. They agreed to approve the initial December 22nd start, and some superstars don’t like that. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the players who disapprove of the decision to have the shortest offseason in NBA history.

The four-time NBA champion shared his thoughts on the most recent development of events. His teammates and many other players share the same opinion.

NBA teams will have the shortest offseason in sports history and LeBron’s reaction was more than expected.

LeBron and his teammates to play right after the shortest offseason

The upcoming season will have 72 regular-season games. King James and his Lakers teammates will play on Christmas Day. The team defeated Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in six games inside the NBA bubble. It’s time for the reigning champions to open up another wild season.

Lakers veteran guard Danny Green said he expects King James to sit out a lot of games in the first half of the regular season. Green predicted the shortest offseason and he may be making a good point. A lot of players will be unhappy with this decision. They didn’t have too much time to rest and relax. LeBron and his teammates finished the season mid-October. Heat players returned home with a loss. Players on both teams need more time to rest than others.

Living inside the bubble for a few months was really hard. Some players had big problems with their mental health. They spend a lot of time away from their loved ones. It was really challenging and not everyone was excited about the life inside the bubble.

LeBron is 35 and he will turn 36 next month. Although some have predicted a lower performance, LeBron surprised everyone and won his fourth championship. He did that in his 17th NBA season. It’s the proof everyone was waiting for. LeBron is a leader and he won’t give up without a good fight. He will have to get ready for the early start. Is he really cherry-picking games in the first half of the season?
