The New England Patriots lost yet another game. It was a fourth straight loss for head coach Bill Belichick and his players. NFL fans were pretty convinced that the Patriots will win this one. It didn’t happen, and Patriots fans will never forgive Cam Newton for his fumble in the 24-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills. In other words, Patriots fans went nuts.

Many thought that the veteran quarterback would break the losing streak and help the Patriots win this game. But, Newton made a terrible mistake late in the final quarter of the game. His mistake sealed the Bills’ win over New England.

Patriots players were at the Bills’ 19-yard line. The 2015 NFL MVP rushed on a 2nd-and-10 and defensive tackle Justin Zimmer punched the football out of his hands. Newton had 30 seconds to finish the job, and he made a terrible mistakes. The look on Belichick’s face was priceless.

Safety Dean Marlowe fell on the football and sealed the win.

Patriots fans go nuts for a reason

Patriots fans had expected reactions to this mistake. Twitter exploded and fans poured their anger all over Newton.

Newton was able to complete 15 of 25 pass attempts against Buffalo for 174 yards and no touchdowns and interceptions. The veteran ran nine times for 54 yards and score.

Jay Glazer from FOX Sports reported the Patriots were worried about the mistakes Newton made. The final mistake may affect his future in New England. According to Glazer, the Patriots won’t think twice before letting Newton go if he continues making these mistakes. New England is worried about the number of mistakes Newton has made in the last couple of weeks. Yes, Newton got COVID-19 and missed some time on the field, but he needs to get better.

The Patriots offered Newton a one-year deal. He got the veteran minimum, and many thought that he’d do his best to get another deal. But, Newton struggles on the field, and Belichick follows every move he makes. There’s no room for mistakes at this point of the season, and Newton made a terrible one.
