Coach Bill Belichick Not Happy With Reporter’s Question This Morning

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick does his interviews without any trouble, but he doesn’t like every question reporters ask.

On Wednesday morning, the Patriots head coach addressed several topics. One of them was related to his starting quarterback. Media members are pretty interested in Cam Newton’s future with the team.

The Patriots had to deal with an open quarterback spot this past offseason. Tom Brady left the team to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Belichick signed the 2015 NFL MVP as a replacement for the GOAT. Newton was offered a cheap one-year deal and many thought that he’d make a big splash in 2020. However, the veteran struggled on the field. New England is out of the playoff contention. This was more than enough for fans to start asking questions. How will things go for the quarterback?

Bill Belichick has had enough of the Cam Newton question

The Patriots left the playoff race and one reporter asked Coach Belichick if Newton will stay under center. It looks like the Patriots head coach is fed up with the situation.

“We’re not answering that question every day,” he said.

The reporter clarified his question and mentioned the Patriots’ elimination from the playoffs.

“How about I let you know if we’re making a change,” coach Belichick said.

We understand that. Belichick has had enough with this question. He keeps getting the same question over and over again. It’s frustrating. But, maybe this was the right time to ask the question. The Patriots no longer compete for a playoff spot. Maybe Belichick will give his other quarterbacks a chance to start games.

Will second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham start the final couple of games on the Patriots’ schedule?

New England has nothing left to play for, and maybe Belichick will be interested in giving his young quarterback more reps. This will help him determine whether Stidham can take the No.1 quarterback spot in New England. If this happens, Newton will be looking for another home in the league.
