We got a lot of guys that wear his shoes still to this day,” LeBron said of Kobe. “I’m able to wear the 2-4 on my finger every night, and when we play at Staples Center you see that 8-24 in the rafters and be able to just live his legacy on. There’s a lot of things that die in this world, but legends never die, and he’s exactly that.”

LeBron James is keeping Kobe Bryant’s legacy alive

LeBron has a hard time coping with Kobe’s death. The tragic helicopter crash shocked the entire nation. When the Lakers had the first game after the tragedy last January, King James gave a short speech full of emotions.

Kobe was one of the best basketball players of all time. He was an incredible inspiration to many young players. His work ethic inspired a lot of people on and off the court. Kobe was competitive and dominant. He won five rings in his 20 years with the Lakers.

The Lakers paid the best tribute to the Black Mamba. They were brilliant in the NBA bubble. LeBron James and his teammates won the 17th title in Lakers history. This was the first title since Kobe led his team to a NBA Finals win over the Boston Celtics in 2010.

Kobe’s legacy will always live, and Lakers players will do their best to keep it in everyone’s memories. The Black Mamba was a symbol of greatness. His opponents know it best.
