Lakers Upgrade Anthony Davis Status For Wednesday’s Contest vs. Mavericks

The Los Angeles Lakers provided an update on Anthony Davis and his status for the game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man missed two straight games due to his knee soreness. When it comes to his performance for the game vs Dallas, the Lakers listed him as questionable. This seems to be good news for Lakers fans.

It’s interesting to note that the Lakers won both games in Davis’ absence. LeBron James is back in form. Having Davis back is definitely a relief at this point.

Davis is averaging 24.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game with the Lakers while shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 19.2 percent from deep.

Fans are not worried about Anthony Davis and his status

The Lakers deal with a big situation right now. Talen Horton-Tucker, Malik Monk, and Dwight Howard entered the NBA health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. This means players will have to isolate for 10 days. NBA players are able to exit NBA protocols by showing two negative tests separated by at least 24 hours. LA needs a big man and Davis’ return will make things easier for everyone.

Howard is out and he has a key role off the bench. The team used him as a starter as well. Monk’s 3-point shots were of great help for the Lakers but he is out as well. Let’s see how will the team handle their absence. Davis’ return will help the Lakers beat their opponents.

LA has a 15-13 record at this point of the season. Players have won two straight games. This is good news for fans as LA struggled to win games earlier in the season. LeBron’s absence added salt to the injury.

Frank Vogel wasn’t really worried about Davis. He took his time to rest and recover. The big man wasn’t going to stay out for too long anyway.

Dallas has great players on the roster. Vogel and his players have to get the best of their game. It’s a long season after all. Staying healthy is a priority now.
