Julian Edelman Had Hilarious Response to New England Patriots’ New Signings

Julian Edelman played just six games in 2020. The New England Patriots had the weakest receiving unit in the entire NFL. The team finished the season with a 7-9 record and ended up missing the playoffs. Everything will change this season, and the Patriots will do things better. Head coach Bill Belichick was expected to be really aggressive in the offseason. These predictions were absolutely true. Belichick got a group of talented players in the first two days of the legal tampering period. New England surprised the world with a bunch of signings, and Edelman shared his thoughts on Twitter.

In the first few days of free agency, the Patriots were the most active team in the NFL. Belichick got the two top tight ends in the open market. Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry are great additions to the Patriots roster. Henry agreed to a three-year deal worth $37.5 million. He will get $25 million in guaranteed money. Smith signed a four-year deal worth $50 million. He is getting $31.25 million in guaranteed money.

Edelman approves of recent New England signings

Edelman’s reaction was priceless. The veteran wideout turned the Boston Tea Party into the Boston TE party. Belichick didn’t like the way New England played in 2020. His tight ends had a disappointing performance. Prior to last season, New England missed the playoffs in 2008, despite putting up an 11-5 record that season. It was the second year in which veteran Tom Brady sustained a season-ending knee injury in Week 1. The team had to rely on Matt Cassel.

Belichick some moves, and we aren’t really used to seeing him spend this much money in free agency. the Patriots brought edge rusher Matt Judon, and cornerback Jalen Mills, too. Wideouts Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne will add depth to the unit. Nose tackle Davon Godchaux and lineman Henry Anderson will join the defensive side of the ball.

The Patriots will look much better in 2021. Cam Newton got his deal too, and he will be working with a talented group of players. Things started to look really good for the Patriots at this point.
