The four-time NBA champion reportedly violated the NBA’s health and safety protocols before Game 1 of the series against the Golden State Warriors. It was a rather unfortunate event for the Lakers superstar. The situation could’ve been much worse. LeBron is confident about the current situation and there’s no room for panic.

LeBron violated the NBA’s protocols, but he wasn’t punished before the game.

ESPN offered more details on the incident. The Lakers superstar attended the promotional event for the tequila brand he supports. The event took place right before the game against Stephen Curry’s team. It was an outdoor event and invitees had to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test in order to attend the promotion.

“James was one of several high-profile guests present at a promotional event for a tequila brand he backs earlier this week before the Lakers’ play-in game against the Golden State Warriors.

“The tequila was poured at a brief outdoor photo shoot, and invitees, including recording artist Drake and actor Michael B. Jordan, had to produce proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result in order to attend.”

LeBron and the Lakers defeated the Golden State in the No.7 vs. No.8 play-in game. They made the playoffs, but lost the first game to the Phoenix Suns.

Following the first game on Sunday, LeBron talked about the violation. Reporters asked him about the violation, and his response was super blunt. It was as blunt as it can be.

LeBron provided a similar status to the question about the injury status.
