Patriots Betting Favorites to Land Future Hall-of-Famer

The New England Patriots are already planning their future, and Julio Jones seems like a good fit for the team.

The Patriots are all-in when it comes to adding great players. Jones is ready to leave the team, and the Atlanta Falcons have already placed him on the trade block.

NFL insider Peter King said the Patriots “make the most sense.” PointsBet suggests that the Patriots are the betting favorite to ink the future Hall-of-Famer.

The 32-year-old likes the team, too.

Patriots players to change their future

New England is the favorite to get Jones. The Tennessee Titans have great chances to sign him, too. The San Francisco 49ers are third on the list.

King has a few good reasons to support the Jones-to-the-Patriots deal.

“I think at the end of the day New England makes an awful lot of sense. It makes a lot of sense because Bill Belichick has shown time and again that he’s not afraid of (making these kinds of trades). You go back to Randy Moss in ’07, where everybody was staying away from Randy Moss and he said, ‘I’ll take Randy Moss.’ To me, I really think the Patriots make the most sense.”

Jones is nothing like Moss. The latter didn’t enjoy the same league-wide opinion. Jones has a different story to tell. Some NFL teams say that Moss has a problematic personality. Jones is not problematic. But, these two are simple in terms of on-field impact.

Moss helped the Patriots pull out a balanced and explosive attack. Jones may have a similar impact if signed.

Head coach Bill Belichick was really busy in the offseason. He signed or traded 27 new players. That’s not all. Belichick also drafted eight more in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Cam Newton will probably start games with the Patriots. But, Belichick selected Mac Jones for a reason. He will work with the first-round pick and help him take the top position on the depth chart. Jones followed Newton during Organized Team Activities.

If the Patriots get Jones, the team will have a better chance to make the playoffs.
