Belichick watched Jones at his Pro Day and he sort of likes his skills. New England got a quarterback in the first round and Belichick used his 15th overall to get the player.

Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers said that Jones has “definitely been easy to work with.” He also added that “he’s blessed to have the arm talent he has.” Pats insider Karen Guregian confirmed the comments. Let’s not forget that Meyers is a former college QB so he knows what he is talking about.
Meyers said that the former Alabama prospect has gained the respect of the Patriots quarterback room.
Patriots players began OTAs on Monday. The team released some cool photos of their session. Most of the players attended the session. They will work together to take the team to the playoffs.
