Colin Cowherd Has Blunt Response To Lakers Free Agency

The Los Angeles Lakers played really tough in free agency. The front office signed many players and LeBron James’ doubters doesn’t like any of that.

Free agency tipped off Monday and LA was all about getting top players. They did get eight players.

The Lakers signed 12-time All Star Carmelo Anthony, former No. 11 pick Malik Monk, former All-Rookie First-Team guard Kendrick Nunn and four former Laker veterans in Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Dwight Howard and Kent Bazemore.

Los Angeles re-signed 20 year-old Talen Horton Tucker. He got a three-year deal with the team. Russell Westbrook joined the Lakers through a trade with the Washington Wizards. Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left the team and they will probably find their home in Washington or Brooklyn.

It’s a new roster for LA and players are ready for the challenge. Everything points to the fact that the Lakers will win a championship again. They will have a chance to do that again.

What does Colin Cowherd say about the new-look Lakers? The Fox Sports analyst said that LA fans are too excited about the new signings. Well, we are excited. There’s nothing wrong about it.

Lakers made few free agency signings

So, the host compared Lakers fans to a small-market team getting “defensive” about the new squad.

“Los Angeles has become Green Bay, Wisconsin,” he said. “You’ve talked yourself into something that’s simply not true. The Lakers will now be the oldest roster in NBA history.”

According to Cowherd, the Lakers’ attempt to get aging players is “Desperate.”

“All these players the Lakers have added, are any of them great? No. Are any of them in their prime? No,” he said. “So the entire Lakers roster has one player who’s great and in their prime: Anthony Davis.”

Pelinka was able to make the right combination of young talents and veterans. LeBron and AD will lead the team to the top again. This time they are getting a lot of help from their teammates.

Haters can say whatever they want but the Lakers are confident about their next season. It’s showtime, everyone!
