Kendrick Bourne Shares Bill Belichick’s Message To Patriots After Week 6 Loss

Kendrick Bourne has given us Bill Belichick’s message to his team after their week 6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Patriots once again failed to pick up a win. It seems like there are quite a few glaring issues on both sides of the ball. It turned out to be a pretty good game with it going to overtime. The Cowboys picked off Mac Jones and ran it back for a score with effectively ended the game.

But Belichick is trying to keep his team’s morale up. Kendrick Bourne has come out with the message that coach had after their loss to the Cowboys.

“The last few weeks, we’ve been having close games and we are still trying to find ourselves,” Bourne told reporters after the game. “He said it was a tough loss, we fought hard and fought to the end. It’s just all about our mindset. Are we going to come in here (Monday) with a positive attitude for the future or are we going to come in here and fold? We all have to look at ourselves in the mirror and see what we have to do to fix it. We had a good start and just didn’t finish well. It’s not about how you start, it’s about how you finish.”

Belichick also talked about the opponent after the game, giving credit to an impressive Dallas team who very much came to play.

“Tough one to lose tonight,” Belichick told reporters after the game.

“Give Dallas credit,” said Belichick. “They’re a good team, well coached. We just came up a little bit short. I thought we went toe-to-toe with them for 60 minutes. They just made a few more plays than we did. Let’s give them credit for that and move on.”

“They’re a good team and that’s what you have to do,” he explained. “You have to stop them.”

“He did a good job,” Belichick said of Prescott. “You know there were a lot of times where I thought we had him covered pretty well but he was able to extend some plays and made some great throws. They have very good skill players.”

“We covered a flat receiver and then they beat us on the over route,” he summarized, “another extended play. Obviously didn’t play it well enough, didn’t coach it well enough.”
