Frank Vogel Worrying Update on LeBron James Injury Amid Rumors of 2-Month Absence

The Los Angeles Lakers broke the spell and started winning games. However, injuries changed the gameplan, leaving the team with little to no room for maneuver. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided an update on his players and their respective injuries, and his comments on LeBron James’ absence are a bit concerning.

The four-time NBA champion missed a few games due to his ankle sprain. It was the same ankle that left him on the sidelines for 26 games last season. Well, it was a different spot, but hey, injuring the same ankle twice is never good. Now the king of basketball deals with abdominal issues. Initial reports suggested that LeBron would miss more time than expected. How long? About 4-6 weeks. Playing without LeBron for a couple of months is the worst nightmare.

Frank Vogel to change the game plan in LeBron James’ absence

Vogel said there’s no timetable for LeBron’s return. He is not even questionable at this point. Will this challenge make things even more difficult for Lakers players?

Anthony Davis sustained injuries, too. The team can’t lose him at this point.

Lakers former head strength and conditioning coach Tim DiFrancesco offered his explanation on LeBron’s injury. According to him, this injury occurs as a result of overextension of the torso and extreme force. Recovering from a minor strain would take 4-8 weeks. This is definitely concerning.

Of course, DiFrancesco did say he could be wrong as LeBron tends to return from injuries earlier than expected. Muscle strains are a bit challenging though. A premature return may only aggravate the existing injury.

LeBron is taking a really good care of his body. He spends one million dollars to keep his body strong and healthy. This has helped him recover from injuries and deliver strong MVP performances. LeBron is really proud of his dominance. He is chasing his dream and passing greats like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar motivates him every day.

The Los Angeles Lakers have to try really hard, but they are winners, remember? NBA veterans joined the team to win a championship. Russell Westbrook became a Laker to get his first ring.
