There was loud chatter about Tom Brady and his post retirement movie. Well, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has just confirmed the big news. The Hollywood Reporter announced that TB12 will star in a football-themed road trip movie. Brady shared the news, confirming the news about “80 for Brady.”

Tom Brady came up with the best post retirement plan

Four best friends decided to go on a life-changing adventure. The best part? It’s based on a true story. Academy Award-nominee Lily Tomlin, Academy Award-winner Jane Fonda, Academy Award-winner Rita Moreno, and Academy Award-winner Sally Field travel to Super Bowl LI to watch the New England Patriots go against the Atlanta Falcons. The best script, right? Brady and the Patriots overcame a 28-3 comeback and the rest is history. They chose this game because it’s really special for the Patriots. Fans would love to remind themselves about the big night. Brady is their hero after all.

Brady may be retired, but he really wants to stay close to the game. Being in a movie? Why not?! He will produce and star in the movie and yes, he will be working with a great cast.

Kyle Marvin directs the film. He co-wrote the latest script with Michael Covino which is based off a draft by Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins. Endeavor Content led negotiations and developed the film with the GOAT and Gigliotti.

WME and Latham & Watkins represent Brady. Paul Hastings represents Gigliotti. UTA and Kimberly Jaime and Michael Auerbach of Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein represent Marvin and Covino. UTA, Rise Management and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern represent Haskins and Halpern.

This won’t be Brady’s first experience on the big screen. However, this is his first movie since his retirement announcement. Patriots and Buccaneers fans will get to watch their hero on TV. It doesn’t get any better than this.
