LeBron James Slammed as ‘Professional Idiot’ Over Brittney Griner Comments

LeBron James is one of the many athletes who supported Brittney Griner. Russian authorities arrested the WNBA superstar and she may be charged for drug possession and use. If charged, she may spend 10 years in prison. LeBron uses his platform to make a change, but Griner’s situation is a little complicated.

The White House has yet to find a solution to this issue, but LeBron believes that no one would be excited about returning to the US at this point.

King James shocked the NBA world with the comments he made about Grinner. In the next episode of “The Shop”, LeBron will talk about Griner and her case.

“Now, how can she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?’” the four-time NBA champion said of Griner.

Let’s just say some people weren’t really happy to hear this. Clay Travis of Outkick was among the first to slam LeBron. According to him, LeBron is a “professional idiot”. LeBron’s fans aren’t really surprised, because Travis has done this before. He is not a fan of LeBron and this attitude fits his game.

Griner’s coach on the Phoenix Mercury, Vanessa Nygaard, took a shot at LeBron. Well, she didn’t do it on purpose. Some people interpreted her words as a jab. Nygaard said that her player would already be in her home in different circumstances.

“If it was Lebron, he’d be home, right?” Nygaard said. “It’s a statement about the value of women. A statement about the value of a black person. It’s a statement about the value of a gay person. All of those things. We know it, and so that’s what hurts a little more.”

There has been growing speculation about Griner’s return to the US. Her friends, family, and fans are frustrated. The US government didn’t do much in the last few months, and hopefully, the situation will be brought to an end before it’s too late. It’s a huge problem for the WNBA. Losing someone like Griner would be a big blow.
