Mac Jones Leg Injury: New Update After Patriots QB ‘Screaming In Pain’

The New England Patriots lost the game against the Baltimore Ravens. However, this is not their biggest concern right now. Quarterback Mac Jones sustained a serious leg injury and fans are worried. Will the Patriots signal caller miss time? Will this put an end to their season?

Jones threw an interception in the final quarter of the game and sealed the loss. Patriots fans spotted the quarterback hobbling to the Patriots sideline. He didn’t even put any weight on his left leg. This injury gave fans a big scare.

Greg Bedard reported that Jones was assisted to the locker room to get checked by team doctors. Jones was ‘screaming in pain’ and it was terrible.

Mac Jones gives fans a scare with bad leg injury

The timing was awful. Jones didn’t have the best performance in the first two weeks of the regular season. He did a really good job in the game against the Ravens, throwing for over 300 yards. Well, he did throw for 3 interceptions, too. NFL analysts criticized his decision-making.

Ian Rapoport from NFL Network reported that Jones’ X-rays were negative, adding that doctors will have to evaluate his ankle.

Losing Jones to an injury would be a big blow for the team. He is a bright star on the field and the Patriots trust him. Bill Belichick gave Jones a really big role. He may have a backup plan, but the team would look better with Jones leading the offense.

Brian Hoyer may step as a replacement for Jones. He is experienced veteran and the Patriots kept him on the roster for a reason. What about Bailey Zappe? The rookie doesn’t have much experience, and Belichick may decide to go with his veteran in case Jones misses time. In his 13 NFL seasons, the veteran quarterback has thrown for 10,000 yards, 53 touchdowns, and 35 interceptions. He has a 16-23 record at this point.

Jones’ injury gave fans a big scare. It’s the main topic today and even fans of opposing teams couldn’t hide their disappointment. Some weren’t that kind though.
