Lakers’ LeBron James Vocal On His Emotions After ‘Special’ Return To Cleveland

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Cleveland to meet his former team and the four-time NBA champion shared his thoughts on his return.

LeBron had two stints with the Cavaliers. They selected him as a top pick in 2013 and LeBron did a good job as a rising star. Things changed after a few years and the kid from Akron decided to take his talent to Miami. LeBron signed a deal with the Miami Heat and won two titles as a Heat player. Cleveland fans got really mad and some of them even burned his jerseys. LeBron’s departure from Cleveland was followed by a major controversy. He did what he had to do and had great time in Miami.

LeBron did come back to Cleveland and helped the team win a title in 2016. It was their first title and this trophy fixed the damage. People were no longer mad and LeBron earned their trust again.

LeBron will always respect Cleveland

LeBron left the Cavaliers to sign a deal with Jeanie Buss’ team. He and his Lakers teammates went back to Cleveland last night and beat the Cavaliers. It was an emotional game for the four-time NBA champion. I mean, Cleveland will always have a special place in his heart.

I spent 11 years here and, you know to come back after my Miami stint and win a championship here for this franchise, for this city, I think it was like a 52-year drought or something like that. That was just something I’ll never forget, you know, no matter how old I get, I’ll always remember that moment. So stepping back on this floor is always a pretty cool feeling, looking up (to the rafters) and being a part of pretty much all the banners in this arena. But the number one banner is the one that’s sits in the middle.”

LeBron and the Lakers have a chance to make the Western Conference Finals again and hopefully, they will win a title this time.
