Lakers Owner Buss Shares The Truth About Dennis Rodman Dating Rumor

Los Angeles Lakers team owner Jeanie Buss sat down for a great interview and shared some spicy details during an appearance on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger.” So, apparently, fans are still interested in the alleged romance between Buss and five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman.

According to Buss, this romance never happened. She claimed that she had never dated Rodman. Buss said, “I did not date Dennis Rodman.”

This goes against the comments Rodman made during his interview with VLAD TV. He claims that he and Buss dated for six months.

Buss adds fuel to the Rodman story

Of course, Buss was confronted with this claim. The Lakers owner did say that she and her father contacted Rodman at all times. He was new on the team and they wanted to know where he was at any point of the day. So, they went together to restaurants and clubs. Beach parties, too. In other words, Buss and her dad went wherever Rodman went.

“I mean yes, in other words, when my dad [former Lakers owner Jerry Buss] brought on Dennis Rodman to the team it was kind of like, ‘Let’s make sure that we know where he is at all times,’” Buss said. So, if it’s about, ‘Hey where are you gonna be tonight? OK, we’re all going to this restaurant, or we’re going to this club, or we’re going to this beach, or we’re going to wherever Dennis is going to be.’

“You could say it was dating to say that it was making sure that I had an eye on him.”

It seems like Buss and her dad wanted to be more involved in Rodman’s life to make sure he does what he was paid to do.

Rodman will probably have a response to these comments. He always does. One thing stands for sure. He likes to cause a stir in the basketball world. Setting up a story that involves the owner of a storied franchise? Why not.
