Analyst Drops Bold Claim About Lakers Superstar LeBron James: ‘Oh Lord Have Mercy’

LeBron James has been a dominant power for over two decades and every analyst knows it. The four-time NBA champion was able to outscore his opponents over the years. His elite game has impressed doubters all over the nation. LeBron delivers a MVP performance each night and Stephen A. Smith spoke his mind about this on ESPN’s First Take.

“I agree with you Perk (Kendrick Perkins),” Smith said. “LeBron James deserves MVP consideration. Now I know [the Lakers] gotta win a little bit more can’t be around 14 and 10 like that. But this brother deserves MVP consideration.

“So much so Perk that if LeBron James was to win league MVP, I had to make a couple of calls and explain it, you know, I got to talk about LeBron James touch differently if he went MVP this year. Oh, Lord have mercy! I don’t know what to say.”

LeBron will continue shocking each analyst out there

It’s interesting to note that LeBron will soon turn 39. He passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for most points on the NBA all-time scoring list. He is one of the better scorers and stands at No.8 on the list of assists and ranks 11th on the list of steals. LeBron is the true leader of the purple and gold, leading the Lakers with his 25.2 points, 7.0 assists, and 1.5 steals.

LeBron may be the best to ever play the game, but he sure needs help to beat rivals in the Western Conference. It’s a tough battle, but LeBron can do it all. The front office may consider making some changes and bringing new names to the roster. Zach LaVine is commonly mentioned as a potential trade target for the Lakers, but the franchise has yet to confirm his signing.

“Our team is not built to have three starters out,” James said after the loss, “but you can give credit where credit is due. San Antonio played great tonight. They shot the ball extremely well.”
