Patriots Agree To Sign Former Buccaneers Running Back

The New England Patriots may have lost 11 games so far in the season, but head coach Bill Belichick is not giving up without a fight. He may be on his way out, per some NFL analysts, but he is still trying to fix the roster. According to recent reports, the Patriots have signed a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back to their team.

The Patriots need to improve almost every unit. They need quarterbacks, receivers, cornerbacks, etc. Belichick decided to add depth to the running back unit. Ke’Shawn Vaugh seems like a good addition to the roster and he could join forces with Ezekiel Elliott for the win. Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network was among the first to confirm the signing. Belichick will use his skills in the practice squad and try to change the outcome of the regular season.

The Buccaneers parted ways with Vaugh, giving the Patriots a chance to try him out. Belichick didn’t waste any time. Vaugh played just six games with the Buccaneers prior his departure. Hopefully, he will make a better impact in New England. In his short stint in Tampa Bay, he had just 42 rushing yards on 24 attempts.

Patriots signed the Buccaneers running back for a reason

Vaugh has great veteran experience and can help the Patriots win a title. Let’s not forget that he won a title in Tom Brady’s first season with the Buccaneers. It was a great win for the team. Vaugh can go against a tough secondary. He could be a good option for the Patriots if they decide to proceed with Bailey Zappe as a starter at quarterback.

The Patriots have lost all chances to make the playoffs this season, but they can use this bad season to fix the damage and learn their lesson.

Belichick may not be around for the upcoming season, but we won’t get into that. It’s too soon to make a prediction on his future with the Patriots. He is just doing his job now and that’s the only thing that matters.
