Report: Lakers Release X-Ray Results For Andre Drummond Foot Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers released the X-ray results on Andre Drummond. The newly-acquired Lakers player had a disappointing debut with the team. He scored four points on 2-of-6 shooting. Drummond is the best rebounder in the NBA. However, he had just one rebound that night.

Drummond played his first game since February. The Lakers were outscored by eight points in his 14 minutes of play. He left the game late in the first half and the Lakers ruled him out after a short third-quarter stint due to a big toe contusion.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said the big man almost didn’t return in the second half. However, he wanted to give it a go. Drummond is considered day-to-day and will see his re-evaluation tomorrow. Following the big game, Drummond said that Brook Lopez stepped on his foot in the first quarter. This gave him a toe injury.

Negative X-ray results for Andre Drummond

If Drummond needs to miss time, the Lakers are deep at the center position. Drummond stepped in as a replacement for Marc Gasol in the starting lineup Wednesday. Gasol didn’t see any action until the fourth quarter. In other words, the Lakers were getting ready to have Drummond and Montrezl Harrell as their only big man. Gasol and Harrell had split their minutes under center this season. It’s another important decision with AD out.

Los Angeles hopes Drummond can help them win games in the Western Conference playoff race until AD and LeBron James return from injuries. The Lakers can’t afford any more health issues and injuries. We want to see Drummond back on the field on time. The Lakers need him badly. The team is playing against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

The Lakers brought Andre Drummond to the roster for a reason. They want to win more games now. The team has lost too many games and players should stop the losing record. They lost the game to the Milwaukee Bucks and the situation is slightly concerning. Well, head coach Vogel isn’t really worried about the issues.
