Anthony Davis Receives Injury Update For Lakers’ Tournament Opener Vs. Suns

The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have the best start of the regular season and NBA analysts voiced concerns about mounting injuries. Anthony Davis is treating an injury and may not suit up for the game against the Phoenix Suns.

Davis has a key role on the Lakers roster. Losing him to an injury would be a big blow for the team. Yes, the Lakers can still win games, but Davis is a key player and his injury could be a serious threat for the team. The big man has already missed many games due to an injury. Will he miss significant time this season?

Davis to miss the game vs Suns?

Lakers players gear up for the in-season tournament against the Suns. It’s an important game for the franchise and head coach Darvin Ham needs everyone to be 100%.

Dave McMenamin from ESPN has an update on Davis. We have a feeling that Lakers players won’t like it at all. According to this report, the Lakers listed Davis as questionable for the upcoming game.

“The Lakers list Anthony Davis (left hip) and Jaxson Hayes (left ankle) as questionable for Friday’s game in PHX, the first group-play game of LAL’s in-season tournament schedule,” McMenamin wrote.

The Lakers have a 3-5 record at this point. Some say they lack depth, but Ham is pretty convinced that he has everything he needs to take the team to the big game.

The front office made a few moves in the offseason and the roster looks pretty strong. LeBron James and AD have leading roles again and they are joined by a bunch of newly-signed players who can have a big impact on the floor. Of course, injuries happen overnight and Ham may need a backup plan in case other players get injured as well. As Rui Hachimura likes to say, it feels like LA makes a trade every day. Ham has to work with a new lineup every game and it’s somewhat exhausting.
