Lakers’ Anthony Davis Gets Birthday Surprise After Historic Match

Anthony Davis makes history every night he makes the basketball court, but he will definitely remember the win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers big man led his team to a brilliant 120-109 win which was probably the best birthday gift he could ever get. Davis also received the perfect birthday surprise after the big win.

Davis was able to lead the team to a win despite his sore shoulder. He finished the night with 27 points, 25 rebounds, 7 steals, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. The Lakers had listed him as questionable for the March 10 game, but Davis became a big threat for the Timberwolves. He made his career-high 7 steals and entered history as the first player to score 25 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, and over 5 steals.

“I felt it at times out there,” AD told the media of the pain in his shoulder. “I still kind of feel it.”

Davis gets the perfect gift, hyped by his birthday surprise

Davis treated his shoulder with a heat pack on the bench, but he looked just fine on the floor. He wouldn’t spoil his birthday performance for anything in the world.

“It was before my birthday, so I guess we can [count it],” Davis told the media. “It’s actually the first time I’m able to celebrate my birthday in my entire career at, like, home. On my actual birthday.”

The Lakers managed to beat the Timberwolves and go up in the Western Conference standings. They have a chance to pass the Phoenix Suns for the sixth seed in the West.

Davis and his teammates are back on track and all struggles seem to be a matter of the past.

This [Minnesota] team is No. 2 in the West and still a good team,” Davis told the media. “Obviously, they’re missing key parts of their team, but they still have guys who can make plays, and they still find a way to win ballgames. We just wanted to come out with a team effort and, knowing that wherever we are in the standings and how important this game was, try to close the gap in the standings.”
