Patriots Listed Among Favorites To Trade For Projected $118 Million Star

The New England Patriots have enough cap space to trade for at least one star. They were linked to Calvin Ridley and had a great chance to get him.  However, Ridley signed a four-year deal worth $92 million and will enter the new season with the Tennessee Titans.

New England can still sign a star receiver through a trade. They can go after Tee Higgins from the Cincinnati Bengals or Brandon Aiyuk from the San Francisco 49ers. Both receivers make sense for the Patriots, but they can try their chances with the ultimate receiver in the NFL.

Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson is the best option for the Patriots. MinnesotaBets.com ranks the Patriots No.4 on the list of potential suitors for the star receiver.

The Bengals are considered the best option for Jefferson. He would get a chance to reunite with LSU teammate QB Joe Burrow. The Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants have a chance to get him as well. Both teams have a higher chance to sign Jefferson at this point.

Patriots could agree to a pricey trade for the star WR

NFL analysts believe that Jefferson will actually stay in Minnesota. The Vikings can’t let him go at this point. Will he force them to let him go? One thing stands for sure. Jefferson wants to get a big deal this season. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jefferson has turned down a contract extension that would give him around $30 million per year. Spotrac projected a four-year deal worth $117.6 million for Jefferson.

The Vikings wide receiver was loud and clear during Super Bowl week. He wants a monster deal.

“I want to break the bank and I want to be a part of an organization that wants me and to really give me what I deserve,” Jefferson said. “I feel like eventually the Vikings will do what they need to do to have me in the building, but I don’t really know at this very moment. Only time will tell.”
