LeBron James Sends Strong Message To Magic Johnson Concerning Carmelo Anthony

LeBron James likes the idea of playing alongside Carmelo Anthony.

Carmelo Anthony is still making headlines as he was linked with the Los Angeles Lakers for too long. When asked about the possibility to play alongside his longtime friend, LeBron gave a nice response.

“We’ll see. I don’t run the team. There are obviously things that need to be worked out on both sides. But I’ve always wanted to play with Melo, and if the opportunity presents itself, it’ll be great. So we’ll see what happens,” LeBron said.

The 34-year-old player is still part of the Houston Rockets, but does not play with the team anymore, and he will probably be traded.

The arrival of Anthony in Los Angeles was one of the hottest topics last month, and LeBron talked about it.

“I have no idea to be honest. That’s not a question to ask me. Right now we have 15 roster spots right? We don’t even have a roster spot open right now. But that’s not a question for myself,” LeBron said when asked if there is enough room for Melo.

LeBron and Carmelo are friends since 2003. The Cleveland Cavaliers signed LeBron, and Carmelo joined the Denver Nuggets as a third selection.

Carmelo did not have the best development of his career, and some said that he should retire. However, Allen Iverson had something else to say on that possibility.

“No way Melo should retire. I definitely think he should keep going. He got a lot left in the tank, man. It’s just got to be the right situation … He’s going to find his way to adapt to the game and the best spot. I believe in him, and I know he’s strong enough. He has a strong foundation behind him as far as his family and friends. I really think he’ll be alright. I’m in Melo’s corner all the way,” Iverson said.
